Frequently Asked Questions | Private Lifeguarding
Q: Do I really need a private lifeguard for my pool party?
Yes — and most parents who hire one say they'll never host a pool party without one again. A private lifeguard gives your event dedicated, professional water supervision. Unlike a parent trying to keep an eye on kids while also hosting, our lifeguards have one job: watching the water. We follow the industry standard of one guard per 25 swimmers, and all our guards are Red Cross certified in CPR and First Aid.
Q: How do I hire a lifeguard near me?
Booking is simple. Head to our Book Now page, select your date and event details, and confirm your reservation. If you have questions or need help finding the right coverage for your event, you can also call or text us at (626) 628-5419 and we'll walk you through it.
Q: Are your lifeguards certified?
Yes. Every lifeguard on our team holds current American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid. All guards are also background checked before working any event. We don't cut corners on qualifications — your guests' safety depends on it.
Q: How much does it cost to hire a private lifeguard?
Lifeguard rates start at $120 for a 2-hour minimum booking. Additional hours are billed at $60 /hr. Multiple guard discounts available for larger events. No hidden fees — what you see is what you pay.
Q: Can I hire more than one lifeguard for my event?
Absolutely. For larger events, multiple pool areas, or guest counts over 25 swimmers, we recommend booking additional guards. Just let us know your event details when you book and we'll advise on the right number of guards for full coverage.
