Booking Your Lifeguard

Pick your date, time, and location, and let us know how many guests you expect and whether children will be swimming. That determines how many guards are assigned — the standard is one lifeguard per 25 swimmers, with a second guard for larger crowds or lots of kids.

You'll get written confirmation with the details, and a Certificate of Insurance (COI) is available on request if your venue or HOA requires one. Summer weekends and holidays fill fast, so book early.

Who Shows Up

Every guard we send is:

• American Red Cross certified in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers, and First Aid

• Background-checked

• Covered by general liability and workers' compensation insurance

They arrive with their own rescue tube, first aid kit, and whistle — you don't need to provide any safety equipment.

The Day Of: Arrival and Setup

Your lifeguard arrives early, before your first guest. In the first 20 to 30 minutes they walk the pool perimeter and note hazards, position rescue equipment for fast access, confirm the layout, and set a few simple ground rules. This setup window is why private lifeguard bookings have a short minimum — it's the floor for doing the job properly.

During Your Event

Once guests arrive, the guard has one job: eyes on the water. No phone, no side tasks. They actively scan the pool, enforce basic safety rules, and stay ready to respond instantly — so you can actually host instead of counting heads in the water. For a bigger crowd, a second guard keeps every part of the pool covered.

Wrapping Up

The guard stays on duty until the agreed end time and the last swimmers are out of the water. If your event runs long, you can usually extend on the spot.
