Luxury pools are rarely a simple rectangle. Infinity edges, dark-plaster bottoms that hide swimmers, connected spas, grottos, waterfalls, and multiple depth zones all reduce visibility and make a single casual eye on the water inadequate. The features that make an estate pool stunning are the same ones that make it harder to supervise.
Add a large guest list, catering, music, and often a bar, and the host has zero realistic chance of also watching the water. At this level of event, supervision is a role you staff, not a hope that someone notices.

The baseline is one certified lifeguard per 25 swimmers, but estate pools often need more guards based on layout rather than headcount alone:
Up to 25 swimmers, single pool: 1 lifeguard
25 to 50 swimmers: 2 lifeguards
Separate spa, infinity pool, or multiple water features: 2+ guards even at moderate headcount
50+ swimmers or sprawling grounds: call (626) 628-5419 for a custom plan
A single guard cannot watch a main pool and a detached spa or lower-level grotto at the same time. We'll assess your layout honestly and recommend the coverage it actually requires.
Insurance and Documentation
Estate venues, property managers, and event planners frequently require proof of coverage before allowing staff on-site. Ace's Lifeguarding carries general liability and workers compensation insurance, and we provide a certificate of insurance on request, naming the venue or homeowner as needed.

1 Lifeguard: $180 for a 3-hour minimum, $60 per additional hour
2 Lifeguards: $360 for a 3-hour minimum, $120 per additional hour
No travel fees within Greater Los Angeles. For multi-day events or estates needing several guards, call for a custom quote.
