Two factors make corporate pool events riskier than people expect. First, alcohol is usually involved, and alcohol is a leading factor in adult drowning. Second, the people in the pool are colleagues and clients, not close family — informal "someone's watching the kids" supervision doesn't happen the way it does at a family gathering. How Many Lifeguards Does a Corporate Event Need?

The industry standard is one certified lifeguard per 25 swimmers in the water at one time:

  • Up to 25 swimmers: 1 lifeguard

  • 25 to 50 swimmers: 2 lifeguards

For events where alcohol is served, we often recommend an extra guard regardless of headcount — intoxicated adults near water are exactly the scenario a second set of trained eyes is for.

Pricing

Straightforward, with no travel fees within Greater Los Angeles:

  • 1 Lifeguard: $180 for a 3-hour minimum, $60 per additional hour

  • 2 Lifeguards: $360 for a 3-hour minimum, $120 per additional hour
